..RIght ?

I mean... Seriously ? No ? Right ? How in hell would that be possible in such a small computer.

I've dissasembled my g74 a few times, to get to fans. And i REFUSE to belive that its possible. Hell, do the Mainboard even SUPPORT / have inputs for it ? No ?

Edit: Don't get me wrong, of its actually possible, im amazed! And wanna know how i can replicate it for my g74 haha =)

Grr

If I'm not wrong you can buy a portable GPU that you have to insert with usb or some other connection..... but I don't believe that you can add an second GPU to the G73 notebook and I don't think there is a port for it on the MB....

There are USB GPUs. Sony uses one in their Z-series notebooks. It runs via USB 3.0 and Lightpeak an AMD 6650M. Also, there are all those USB->VGA adapter dongles floating around. Technically, they are USB GPUs, but not real he-man GPUs (no offense ladies).

Is this what you mean about the Sony Z-series notebooks? http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/09/20/hands-on-with-sonys-external-graphics-card-its-superb/

Yep. Sony made an external GPU to combine power and incredible battery life. Great combo, I think. Maybe ASUS could do something similar, only with a 670M and bring the price down. Dual-SSDs: Yum. >$2500: Yuck.

They make them that you can in plug Quad-Gpus with multiple projectors or screens ... yeah ... they are call'd desktops ..
at what point is the point of a laptop beyond the point ??? Go Lan-GENE then... just typ'n outloud ..
The 'New' G has a reported 3gb onboard ... soon who knows where that will go .. and the screen ..
where is the limit to that ? and still be portable ?
Plug a Gene in ... to any screen .. thanx.c.

I feel shy when i read this thread, because I was one of guys who upgraded my gpu , but there is no way of installing an second gpu.
and asus g74 has a gtx 560 3gb version which is already mounted to mobo, so no way of upgrading.
Asus G73Jh works with hd 6990m / 6970m / 6870m/ 5870m , I have tested only these card. AND OH I also tested an gtx 560m but it didnt post.

these are 2 videos that I took, to prove. I used an 65W poweradapter when I took these videos. so asus g73 with hd 6970m can power on with 65W power adapter. but you need a good one to play games.
thanks mate.
