I just have a quick question, I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz in the guy right now. What are my upgrade choices?

None whatsoever, unfortunately upgrading CPU's in laptop's is impossible, not to mention you are unable to buy a cpu to upgrade it. Only system builders(OEM's = Original Equipment Manufacturer's) are able to purchase the items, or make them themselves to put into laptops.

I cant see why you cant swop cpu mate.(Think you will void your warrenty though)

Have seen a few mobile/laptop cpu's for sale on uk ebay from 2630-2960xm.

Also seen a 670m GPU on uk ebay for 250

Couldn't I just swap the old processor back in if it breaks? Or is there warranty tags on the inside? I have had this break on me before but it seems to be holding up just fine right now

The CPU in the G74 is socketed and so is upgradeable. That socket for the 2630QM will take anything compatible with the FC{GA988 socket, up to the beastly Extreme edition 2960XM. There are many examples of folks and shops that do this with their G74s. One catch: to open 'er up and get at th CPU for swapping, you void the warranty. I personally am waiting until my 1 year is up on my G74 and then if cash is present will go up to the 2960XM, which hopefully by then will be cheaper (due to the proliferation of the Ivy's).
Different sotry on the graphics card...the GPU is solderedto the mainboard and is not socketed, so it is *not* user upgradeable.
