View Full Version : Want to buy a Tytan but it's not available in your region? Shout here!

If you want a Tytan but it's not available in your region, it could be because retailers/wholesalers are having trouble gauging interest for gaming PCs. They are high cost, lower volume items so generally speaking they can be more hesitant to stock them :( (such is business unfortunately).

I see people posting on our ROG Facebook page and asking via PM, so I'm going to try and compress this interest into a single thread to retain some momentum. If you want a Tytan gaming PC in your region - shout here! Tell us where you are from and what model you'd like. Then I can forward this to our sales to act on. :)

Hey send me a 8580 and i'll do a review on it for you guys, from a user's perspective...Aussie here lol  by the way, I know it probably won't happen...but it's worth a shot, my days are boring when i have 5 off a week and only work 2...heh, pay me for it too? LOL :p

I'd like to get my hands on the 8580 in the U.S. If possible. Will most definitely buy it whenever its available.

Hi Chanceg56. It's unlikely to be brought to the US. There are a lot of top quality system builders there that ASUS works with so the need for an ROG gaming PC is quite low. I'm asking for a list of places our US team works with, to make the best gaming PCs.

Looks great, and I'd love to have one. I suspect general availability in the US will not happen, but is there an international access?

I'm looking for a authorized seller that will ship to the US.

Why not sell in the US? You sell a lot of Laptops here and I would consider one for myself, Since I own a CHIVF and Now have a G71gx on Lay-Away... Personally Who Cares if Cyberpower might get upset just price the thing Higher than theirs and Asus will make out too! Or make it a BestBuy Exclusive!

I really dont understand why Asus doesnt make these PC's in larger quantaties... Before they even start selling the CG and de G55/75's they're allready releasing the CG 8890! Thats ridiculous.
I have eventually decided to build myself..though because Asus is also slow with releasing the formula and extreme mobo's in Europe i have to go with ASRock...... The only connection i have with ROG now is a ROG sticker.. :(

I would definitely love to see the CG8890 come to the United States when it's released.

If and when it's released and it isn't released in the states...would it still be possible to special order it and have it sent overseas? Just a thought (though, I'd probably be more than willing to pay the shipping fees for one).

Formula should be out this week/next week depending on your online store.

Availability of the PCs depends on many factors not just how many we make. If no local stores want to stock (because they have their own PC range for example) then we cannot force them.

Unfortunately it seems as though the US will not likely stock any, but they also have some of the best custom-made, high performance rig makers in the world who work with ROG in other areas.

We've been pushing our rep to start bringing these units into the US (btw the new one, OMG AWESOME!!!!)

I've even tried contacting the higher ups and was told there would need to be significant buy-in for them to even consider it.

I am however quite pleased to see the normal AIO and desktops for sale at disty!

Wooot ASUS :D

Yeah definatly want to have to have the cg8890! But like with my "vg278h"(that nobody knews...:s), that has took nearly 2 months :(, i'm sure it will not be avaible here (belgium) & it will be to expensive...Btw any more price info etc..., would be great, beceasue if they are planning to chip it to my country, i maybe gonna sell my setup & buy myself this early christmas gift seriously! I had to do a "special" order to with my monitor, so it all depense on knowing the right people & the effort your local pc store is willing to make! :)

That keyboard, where can i buy that keyboard?

You can't on its own unfortunately.

(It's just a rebrand of another company with MX Blacks, so with a bit of Googling you can find it ;))

did not get a response from the FB DM I sent so I have been hitting up the vendors directly in hopes of seeing the 8890 in the US. I did find 8580's via NCIX. Part of me wants to wait and see if they pickup the new model, but the other half says get a 8580. So torn..

Hi Everyone,

The CG series won't be coming to the US until further notice due to the fact it has excellent system-building companies already. They use our ROG hardware in their builds so it would make the CG's redundant. You can buy/import from Canada (NCIX etc) though.

Thanks. I've been trying to find a place to buy it from. The three year warranty and knowledge that the pieces will all come together nicely are the real sellers, and while you CAN get a slight upgrade on SOME things by doing a custom build, you can't do any major upgrades from the CG858- without a serious price increase, and you won't get a good warranty either.

I still want them in America even though I can import one. America is well ...America and we are supposed to be the ones who have it all. But on second thought, the CG8890 and CG8580 look so beautiful and powerful that I don't think I could handle them. I would probably die when I touch the box.

Try CyberPower: http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Mega_Special_IV/
or iBuyPower: http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/2012_Halloween_Intel_X79_Core_i7
or Falcon Northwest: http://www.falcon-nw.com/configure-falcon

You can spec all of them with a Rampage IV Extreme, watercooling, SSD RAID 0 and a choice of cases!

I'm suprised you can't get this in the US as well. You would think that at least 1 online retailer could carry the line.

PC Canada sells the CG8890-CA001S (http://www.pccanada.com/viewitem.asp?id=45434) for $4,519.15. I was able to find a picture of the insides of this monster though (Not sure if the image is the same one). Looks like it's sporting the Rampage IV Formula motherboard which has the RAID and SLI capability that you're looking for.

I've been looking to buy the CG8890 but I cannot find one anywhere, BestBuy wont order them, if it's not in their catalogue they say they can't order it. I bought my G75VW from them so why can't you sell the desktops through them. I can't even find one in Amazon, if you hate the US then why even bother selling your laptops here, sorry but all this just seems like a flat out insane way to run a business.
