Hi, guys!
I have a problem with my wireless connection which always stays at 54 Mbps (it's a G mode AP) even though signal strength drops to a low value. There are many lost packets, and sometimes it just disconnects altogether without first dropping to 1 Mbps.
I updated the Atheros drivers several times to no avail.
It's not an access point problem either since I can connect with another computer wirelessly and its behavior is normal.
The laptop has had a clean Windows 7 Ultimate x64 install but it didn't change anything.
It's very annoying since it just drops the connection now and then instead of scaling down the speed.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks.

It might just be your router is failing...

Did you check the device properties and enable Flow Control and CTS support?

@Chastity: I've just rechecked and I don't have these options in the advanced tab of the adapter properties. I have the latest driver that you posted in one of your threads.

@TheOriginalTO: I can connect to other APs and the result is the same.
