Interesting. Is the 71c temp constant while playing... is that even safe?

yes its after constant playing, 72c is the highest ive been up to while playing BF3 on ultra for like 1 hours with these clocks. I would say its not a problem at all. The cooling in G55 is pretty good, even better in the G75 :)

So after going from stock drivers to these new ones, was there really a noticeable performance increase?

Like are there side by side benchmarks of a stock g55, and a overclocked driver-mod g55?

Are these official ? Where did you get them from ? Nvidia site has no available drivers at all for GTX 660m.

72* better be safe. Back when the G73JH came out and people were hitting mid 90's Asus responded and said that those were within normal operating temps. After a repaste, my G73JH has been running in the mid 80's (max'd out) just fine for the past 2 years.

No this is just a modified version of the official 301.42 drivers to fit GTX 660M

As far as the sub adjusting to the rest of the volume settings yes thats fixed. The sub still playin te entire audiorange. But i can live with that now that i dont have to worry bout the sub volume(the change takes a 2nd when you change your volume so i thought it was dropping out lol)

I was able to install it, nevertheless I had to modify the INF file in the Display Drivers folder to get it installed. I downloaded the INF file from here:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/enhancer

So far I've been experiencing a bit improvement from 296.44 driver. I really would like to use official drivers but seems Nvidia has a bit of delay in posting them. So far I've heard that these drivers are official, but only yet not posted.

Again, it worked for me, you might as well try it, if it fails, you uninstall it and install the previous one. Hope it helps.

I can confirm the drivers are working on GTX 660m (G55)
The place to download official Nvidia drivers with moded INF to support all models is:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers

I donít have any benchmarking to prove the performance of those drivers but according to the official release notes they should come with some features and performance improvements...

Do you have the modified INF file for version 301.42?
I copied the modified INF file into folder Display.Driver folder and fired the installation from 301.42.
It detected my GTX 660m but I didnt proceed further as I wanted the correct versioning.

However, if we're all talking about Diablo 3' stuttering? the performance has improved slightly after the latest D3 patch last night.
I'm not sure if you guys are still experiencing it, but the performance has improved for D3.
I'm still on the first release version. 296.

I did not keep the files... :( I installed them and erased the files. I did not test this on D3, but 3DMark Vantage went a bit up.

Try, if it installs... Test some games or Furmark to see if its stable.
