Hi guys, i just have a simple question

does anyone know what the operating temperature range (GPU and CPU separately, if possible) for the G55VW is, as specified by Asus? i can't seem to find it on the website or in the laptop manual

thanks in advance!

that is too high for my blood IMHO.......
something is wrong if your are getting temp that high ....
maybe others can give much better advice on this..
mine tops @ arround 70C running prime and that was in an non air conditioned room @ around 30C room temp....

Prime and Furmark test two different things. Prime tests the CPU, while Furmark tests the GPU. GPU's are known to get extensively warmer.. but even with that being said, I think mine is getting too hot.

Your temperature is after repaste? Can you run furmark to test your gpu temperature?

Room temp around... 60 F ? . Actually since you got the same thing, I'm not worried anymore. If it goes over 95-98 then you need to be worried.

I don't think the results we got are normal? since everyone else getting a lower max temp for the furmark test. I thought this model is suppose to have a very good cooling system, shouldn't the temperature of the gpu be lower than at least 90C? (before i bought i thought it should be just around 70+C...)

Can you test it again in a normal game (record it using GPU-Z) - not Furmark - and let me know if it goes over 80C.

If yes: please give me your serial numbers and I will take this further here.

70C under Prime is fine for the CPU, please test your GPU. The two heatsinks are separately cooled.

Yes it goes over 80C. When i was playing dragon nest (http://dn.cherrycredits.com/)(this is consider as normal game right? the graphic of the game is normal to me..) with graphic setting: medium, the temperature of gpu can goes up to 87C. For Witcher 2 with low graphic setting the temperature of gpu can goes up to 89C

should i put my serial no. here? i'll pm u the no.

Eventhough the two heatsinks are separate but they are connected into one piece heatsink/fan cooler piece.
You need to unscrew both CPU and GPU to take it off in order to check even the heatsink make good contact with your GPU, CPU and the GPU RAM ( those square black thingy I assume is the gpu ram).
