Hi Everyone,

I am now the proud owner of a new asus g75vw-ds72 as of yesterday, but I had a quick question regarding the Hard Drive space.

When I look under my computer there are a total of 4 Hard Disk Drives to choose:
#1: OS (C:) (70.6GB) - Where the Operating system is installed I assume.
#2: DATA (D:) (142GB)
#3: SDATA1 (F:) (349GB)
#4: SDATA2 (G:) (349GB)

My question is which is the SSD and which the regular HDD? I was expecting two basic options between the 256G SSD & 750GB HDD, but this is a little different. I know some people were complaining about the partitions, so I guess this is seeing it first hand. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated as I was planning on installing the adobe production premium to the SSD for a faster workflow with After Effects & Premiere.

Also a side question pertaining to the above information. Added together the 4 drives equal 910GB of space, but that leaves me short 90GB of space per the original advertisement (750GB + 256(SSD) = 1006). Did I loose space in the partitions, or is my math off?

Thank You

C + D = 256GB SSD
F + G = 750GB HDD

You will always fall short of the "advertised" space due to overhead. No way around that.

C + D = 256GB SSD ... F + G = 750GB HDD

After getting some kind of backup of the SSD ( win 7 system image onto external drive highly recommended ) that includes both C and D ... me personally ... I would think about resizing C/D ... to give C more space. I would think about making D some minimum amount or removing it entirely and making C a bunch larger.

I concur and would also suggest removing G and making F larger as well.
