Hi there !

I bought the G74 a couple months ago, and it's been working great up until a couple weeks ago. I haven't dropped it or anything, but the headphone connection is faulty. When I plug in either of my two headsets/speaker, the audio only comes out of the right channel, but not the left. If I slightly move the plug towards me, the sound comes out of both channels. How may I fix this ? I am no longer living in the U.S. where I bought the computer but moved to France.

Thank you very much

Not sure how to fix it persay, but if there is no option to possibly RMA the laptop, then I would most likely pick up a USB headset instead.

Another option is using either USB or SPDIF digital optical out (from headphone jack) to a DAC headphone amplifier.

See this thread for details on using the optical digital out: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?15902-Digital-Sound-out-and-a-G74SX

Here's a link to a DAC headphone amp on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/FiiO-E10-USB-DAC-Digital-Analog-Signal-Portable-Headphone-Amplifier-Amp-/300715395829?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA% 252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D400293 925656%26ps%3D54)

You can also find deals on used headphones and headphone amps of all kinds on the for-sale forum at http://www.head-fi.org

Yet another option is to switch out the wifi module for an Intel 6230 (with Bluetooth) and use an A2DP bluetooth headset. Not audiophile-quality, but not much worse than the Realtek.
