G75VW-T1013S vs G75VW-T1013V

I have the G75VW-T1013V on order but I noticed the G75VW-T1013S came out today (or at least I noticed it today)

So what's the difference?

Doing a quick google search of the models, I didn't notice any real difference between them. Both have i7 3610qm, gtx 670m, 16g @ 1600, 256g SSD, 1T HD@5400rpm, bluray writer. 2 year global warranty.

The difference is probably between the screens, 3D, non3D, full HD, HD...something along those lines perhaps.

Yeah i didn't see a difference in specs either. I assumed that it's the new model because the old model had all of the issues that have been brought up here...

Either way i'm still waiting impatiently for mine V_V

i think i remember a couple people on this forum having problems with that model, could be something thats not in the spec sheets, most likely a different mobo.

It is interesting that ROG members have to guess such things. No official Asus reps have the time to enlighten us insignificant wretched mortals in these threads. Anyway I had the same problem with G55VW. It comes as : s1084s or s1084v. I talked to many dealers who rest me assured they were exactly the same. Had made no sense so finally I called Asus Australia. S1084s is coming with blue ray combo , s1084v is with blue ray writer. .....He didn't sound too convincing though.

Reps don't necessarily get training on all of the ASUS SKUs.

Not only that but the sxxxxx SKU's are regional so you would have to find a rep in your area (which you did!)

HI, Basically, those two units are same spec.

Call your retailer and ask, as regional distributors and retailers control the suffix designation.
