thats weird, stuttering? i havent experienced any at all *knocks on wood*

the only game i had any issues with was diablo 3 and i was told it was a server issue that everyone has. but every other game plays like silk.

ROFL.

And yes, the very same is happening here. Never had any sort of software-related problem (other than my mouse courser is disappearing)

Does not look like current 304 beta supports either 660 or 670 ... but even if it did ... do you want to run beta when no real problems with current latest drivers from asus support site?

Still stable OC with +135 GPU / +485 to memory at just at 60C. (GTX 660m)
2662 Graphics scores on 3dmark11 performance. Really nice considering low score reported on the 670 is 2700.

Really smooth so far will upload some screenshots.

I've experienced the stuttering, and it seemed exclusively due to me operating on battery power and not being plugged in, despite having the machine set to "high performance". I thought it was a heat issue, resource consumption issue, or hard drive usage issue, but none of the mentioned were loaded down at all while in game play. In BF3 or Diablo 3, if plugged in, I can run at max settings. If unplugged, I have to turn everything down.

What were your scores before you upgraded the drivers and\or overclocked?

somejoshdude
06-19-2012, 08:22 PM
Around P2500-P2600 OC'd ; it jumped a lot. Safe to assume part to the optimization of the drivers and the ability to properly use the overclock. Will test w/o OC with this driver set.

I apologize I was going off reported benchmarks from supposed trusted sources ... http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-670M.72197.0.html.

Although there is a lot of skepticism behind their benchmark values.

What do you average 3k? Not overclocked?

Yes I want to run a beta. Any driver that works proper. No real problems with current drivers? Where the hell have you been?

Remove McAfee? I did that long before I came accross the driver problem. Who the hell uses that garbage anyways?

Remove McAfee? That was the first thing to get tossed out. I did that long before I came accross the VGA driver issue. Who the hell uses that garbage anyways?

He is right. The drivers seem not to install for all g55/75 users as can be seen on nvidia beta driver thread.
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1213&SUBSYS_21191043 isnt included in the driver. Would almost like to install it but i have no problems with 296.44 so I propably shouldnt even try.

My 3Dmark11 (free) says that 304.48 is better than 296.16

I have G74SX 91310Z

GPU OCed to 890/1780/1625

http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3719101 -296.16
http://3dmark.com/3dm11/3719321 -304.48

Edit: Also I've noticed that with even lower OC my laptop is randomly freezing and I have to shut it down with power button. Rolling back to 296.16 :/
