Where are the latest sound drivers? 10500b? Not showing up in the 17" section

The 10500b drivers are considered "beta" drivers, so ASUS has not officially released them. That's why they aren't in the 17" or 15" sections.

So... where can we get the 10500b drivers.... I really don't understand why everyone is saying to get them but never WHERE to get them.

I tried them and did not notice any difference in performance, sound quality, or fixes to the subwoofer issue compared to the 10400 version.

Why are the video drivers 4 months old that date on them is 26/04/2012, id like newer working drivers, as the default one on my laptop are Nvidia 296.44 and the latest drivers from Nvidia are 301.42 , which what my Desktop PC has on it.

I'm one of the many people that are getting flickering on my screen both on desktop/in games when using my laptop, I uninstalled the 3D drivers/controller and haven't had a flicker since.

my laptop specs are in my signature and yes I do have a 3D screen as my laptop came with 3D glasses.

The 3D controller drivers were 290.** and the 3D drivers were 296.44 so I believe it is a comparability issue that was causing the flickering, which stopped after i removed them.

So please up date the drivers so the all work harmoniously together.

Edit: I have tried the beta sound drivers and they don't anything to increase the volume, the laptop at full volume still sounds like it is at half volume, my old FJV** can't remember the exact model number has louder volume than my new G75VW and me old laptop is 4years old.

I'm not sure the ASUS folks are tracking this thread on driver statuses etc. I just made the thread because so many people were asking where to download them since we can't link directly to the drivers/utilities.

And a lovely signature it is too :) I'm guessing it's a custom job?

I am having an issue after clean installing windows 8 pro onto my G55VW-DS71. It's of course a paid legitimate copy. Everything went fine with the install onto a 256GB vertex 4 SSD. The issue is after I installed all the drivers I am still showing "Unknown Device" in device manager. I have graphics, LAN, WLAN, audio, intel INF, bluetooth, etc, all installed off the site.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm attempting to check HWINFO to see if there is something I missed. I never had this issue in Win7. I'm just curious what that device is lol. Everything seems to be functioning fine except my wireless. My wireless stops working and I have to disconnect and reconnect every 30 minutes or so. It's really making me want to go back to windows 7 :\

i've been in the same spot as you lord just a couple days ago - g55vw, fresh win 8 pro install on my 128g samsung 830. And yes, after installing all the drivers i'm also having 1 "unknown device", but i'm not really bothered by that too much.

haven't had a chance to test the wireless yet (staying with wired for now), but as far as i've read there's quite some issues with the wireless in general.

Can you right click the device in Device manager, Properties, Details and check the Hardware ID? Is it:

ACPI\VEN_ATK&DEV_4001

If so, it is the Wireless Off key and you need the Wireless Radio Control Driver.

Where can I find the drivers for the G75VX-DS72 for Windows 7?
The above links are broken.
Drilled down thru the product/support pages and only fond Win 8 and 8.1 drives.
Did not find the Thunderbolt drivers.

There are no driver for Win 7 for the VX
this thread should get you going http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?29983-Clean-Windows-7-on-Asus-G75VX-(Win8-pre-installed)&country=&status=

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately I don't see how this will help me. The thread is about downgrading from Win 8 to 7. I skipped this step because I decided to have the company that was building my G75VX to do a clean Win 7 install at the outset (onto a 256 GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD). Data drive is Seagate 750 GB SSHD. I use ShadowProtect to back up my OS SSD. With 32 GB ram - works great. WEI = 7.4. To be honest I did not know that there was a Thunderbolt port included. Now that I am building an SSD Raid 0 external drive, I need Thunderbolt to work in order to maximize the RAID (2 SSDs) throughput. I only saw Thunderbolt mentioned once in the thread. Someone asked for a driver and there was no response.

Well we with the VW and Win 7 never got Thunderbolt! Some of the VX got It but were Win 8 OS's So that is the reason that your having problems finding Win 7 TB drivers. So I have no personal information. My guess to look for a driver would be Intel, since TB is an Intel thing?
This also my have been the reason we never got the TB as Asus couldn't come up with a driver for Win7? Again I don't know the Answer. You also might look around your BIOS Seems in another thread I saw where someone had to turn it on?
Seems like in the original user manual for the G75 VW that thunder bolt would have a switch somewhere to use it either as a TB or DP since it turned out that we didn't have TB most of us lost interest!

When I connect the TB device the "Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller" shows up in Device Manager. It reports a code 12 error which (upn investigation) is due to a resource conflict with one of IRQ, I/O ports or DMA. System information shows a memory address conflict:

Memory Address 0xDC000000-0xF3FFFFFF Intel(R) 7 Series/C216 Chipset Family PCI Express Root Port 5 - 1E18
Memory Address 0xDC000000-0xF3FFFFFF PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
Memory Address 0xDC000000-0xF3FFFFFF PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
Memory Address 0xDC000000-0xF3FFFFFF PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
Memory Address 0xDC000000-0xF3FFFFFF Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller
Memory Address 0xDC000000-0xF3FFFFFF PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge

I am not the only ASUS user who has reported this error here. Seems to be a common problem beyond ASUS as well. I am looking for what users did to solve this beyond ASUS...as I do not see ASUS helping me here yet.

jondank

Tried command line (run as admin)
bcdedit /set CONFIGACCESSPOLICY DISALLOWMMCONFIG (suggested elsewhere).

Did not resolve the conflict.

Asus Support Downloads (https://www.asus.com/support)Windows 7 and 8 drivers are all still there, Asus never supported the G75 for windows 10 so there are no Asus windows 10 drivers.
