Hi folks

Ive had my G75VW for over a week now, it came with 16G ddr3 @ 1600, 1080p 3d screen, gtx670m, Dual 1T drives atheros comms.

Performance is great for my usage, I really cant complain.
My mate got a toshiba x870 before I got this , he really pushed for me to get the same. Imo the X870 is on par with this in most respects except, cooling this thing owns.
I do prefer the Asus (maybe because I own one)
I havent the problems others have mentioned in here. Even the audio is is great , not quite as loud as other laptops.

I play games like dead island , payday , cod 4 & bo, justcause 2, skyrim , crysis, farcry etc etc
All play flawless imo maxed out. no aa I dont use it

I run Vmware 8 , do a bit of Citect scada work in winxp . Appears faster then my I7-920 at 3.8g.

Ive tested oc'ing the gtx670 with msi ab , only tested to 720 core and 1650 memory where it gets about 20k in 3d06 and 3.8k in 3d11. Furmark temps to about <83C (ambient room temp 20C) , no artifacts looks like theres room for more
Running 301.48 drivers
3d works great but I do get almost half the normal framerate in games

I dont have any of the wireless issues mentioned either . I connect up wireless to a Billion 7800. at 10 metres an 2 giprock walls I get a solid 48 Mbps connection around 4 Meg a second transfer.
My old nokia BH501 bluetooth headset works with no drop outs
90% utilisation of the 1000 Mbps ehternet port with no issues

Battery life is a bit low about 2 to 2.5 hours non gaming, I run low brighness (its still too bright :( )

Anyway just thought I'd share

Will I ever get optimus support with this system ?

When i get back I'll list all drivers Im runing :
Atheros ethernet 2.0.88
Atheros wireless 9.2.0.469
nvidia gtx670m 304.48
VIA audio 6.0.1.10400
Basically the latest driver on Asus website as of 27th of June

:note I corrected 3dmark scores and no bluetooth drop outs

I was amazed that I was able to max BF3 without AA at 1080p, averaging 35-50 FPS. On the 660m.

Truly an amazing machine. The cooling capability is what sets this above other laptops with similar specs as well. Better cooling means a longer-lasting machine, and that was a key point in my purchasing decision.

im so glad i switched out my 670m g75 for a 660m, it runs cooler, higher fps, uses less power and performs better. the kepler architecture is just newer, better technology imo.
