Hi all, I'm new here, hoping for some help.
I like racing games and currently am playing F1 2011.

However, I noticed that I will encounter serious frame rate drop when I play out of the mains.
If I plug in the power supply, it can run nicely.
Probably this is because of the internal graphics running.

I have tried switching to the NVidia graphics but it didn't seem to work.

This is the 1st game I'm playing on this system though.
Appreciate any help from anyone.

Thank you in advance.

To preserve battery life, the nVidia graphics throttle when the AC adapter is not plugged in. This is totally normal, so no worries.

Thanks a lot for the reply.
But does this means I have no choice but to use the adapter every time?

Any chance to, at least, reduce the throttling to an acceptable level?
At times, I may not have chance to always stay beside a power outlet.
It will be good if I can play without AC sometimes. Let my battery workout a little bit.

That is basically the case. The power draw of a video card at full bore is immense, and very well might overdraw--and thus damage!--your battery.

Got it.
Have to stay near an outlet in future.
Thanks again.
