i heard that some people draw out 170w of power. how do you determine this? and is it true? if it is, is it really beneficiary if you have a power brick that has a higher voltage? and why?

I was able to monitor this off a UPS and from a car inverter with a LED display showing total load. I hit 172w peaks.

1) It's better for the power brick since it's not as stressed to produce the desired output, so it will run cooler and last longer.

2) If you overclock, you'll draw more juice. :)
