I ordered a BBK9 and got sent instead an 1ATZ.

I cannot find any difference in the specs? I can't seem to even find anything on the 1ATZ that might be me a clue. Any reviews or anything. Does anyone know? I already have a BBk8 and I really like it. The new one is for my son. I do notice that the BBk8 has Intel Centrino Wireless-N 6150 + WiMAX 6150 but I can only see INtel Centrino Wireless N6160 in the 1ATZ. Which to be honest I'm not even sure what that means. I've really gone by reading reviews and taking what others say.

The problem is that we live overseas and had to send this via the embassy - which is a long process so sending it back is not easy.

Can anyone give me any heads up on what the differences are?
Thank you.

From what I have found .. You may have come out ahead just a bit .. for one thing the 1atz appears to
have a 3gb GPU while the bbk9 has 2gb.
the 1atz has an Intel Core i7-2630QM (2.8GHz with Turbo Boost) CPU.. while the
bbk9 enjoys an Intel Quad-Core i7-2670QM 2.20GHz .... et.. no big deal there.
I find no mention of the wi-fi, but this is, imho, insignificant.
Both have the 1920x1080 displays.
Also, the 1ATZ was only (suppose to be, I dont know where you are.) released in the US.
Was the amount of ram comparable ? And the other features you expected.
Both appear around the $1000 mark.
How does it perform ?
Honestly, I think it was fair. When a retailer runs out of something .. they rarely send
you less than you ordered/paid for in replacement (they dont want returns/refunds either)
.. as it appears here.
Best of Luck SallyC,
Relax and enjoy that beauty. (If you have Any issues, I do mean ANY .. we will be waiting.)
Welcome to ROG.c.

umm .. Which retailer ? If you dont mind us asking.

Thanks for the answer. I bought it refurb from ebay. We are technically a US address. Just stationed in the UK right now. Which is how we were able to get this (if it's US released only).

When I look on the system specs (on the computer itself) it does show having the 2670QM 2.20GHz.
Is it possible the refurb people put the wrong sticker on it?
Also the original sticker that should have the make/model and serial number is off :(
It does bring up a number though when I go to register it.

Oh and yeah looking at the spec on the machine itself, it does all seem to match.
And that's the correct price).

Who knows sally ? It is a refurb. That, in my view, is a good thing.
It is 'sort of' personally, individually handled by a tech and approved for sale,
unlike factory fresh.
Does it have the centrio wifi thing ?
Could it be the MB of one in the body of the other ? If it fits.
Could the cpu have been upgraded ? Sure.
Some had 8gb, some 12...
but Sally ... the BIG question is ... drum roll .. are you happy with it ?
Does it do All, and more, that you wanted and/or needed ? Bonus.

Score one for Sally. hehehe .. and a good price.
Worry not .. UK ? Some of the top minds in the ROG are there .. Bonus.
Best of Luck in all that you do. Keep us 'posted'.c.
