My pc just suddenly freezes for no reason. I have to do a hard reset every time. Could it be a driver issue? How do i fix this ? I purchased it today.

What are you doing when the lockup occurs?

Did you install anything to this laptop? If so, what?

What Antivirus software are you running?

Today it happend as I was filling out the laptop info on the ASUS member home page. It seemes random. It happend when I was personalizing the laptop. Added 4 gb of ram and a SSD 120 gb. The lockup started before I intalled any programs. Norton antivirus.

The new RAM and SSD are suspects in your system lockups.

1) Remove the new RAM and see if you can reproduce the lockup.

2) Make sure you've updated your SSD with the latest firmware and attempt to reproduce the lockup. If you can, remove the SSD and put the original HDD back and see if you can reproduce the lockup.

3) If you can still produce a lockup at this point (back at stock configuration) run memtest86+ with at least 3 passes to confirm your stock memory is sound. In fact, you may want to do that at the end of step 1.
