I was wondering if I get the G55VW it would have the same performance on BF3 as the G75VW because the screen on the G55VW is smaller hence lower pixels=GTX 660M can match the performance on BF3 since the G75VW has a bigger screen, correct?

Sorry, funny logic here, but what do you guys think?
I wish they put the GTX 670 in he G55.

Think since the G55VW has a smaller screen it will have the same frame rate on BF3 as the G75VW with a larger screen?

I think the G55 is 1080p ( 1920 x 1080 ) same resolution as G75 ... just a slightly smaller screen ... same # of pixels.

It should using 660m be pretty much exactly the same. G75 has a superior cooling system with 2 exhaust ports on the back side ... G55 has 2 but one is just camouflage and really routes all the air out just one side. Still cooling supposed to be darn good with G55 though!

It doesn't matter what screen size, it could be 13 inches vs 17 inches and the performance or fps would be the same if both are running same cpu/gpu at 1080p.

Yes they will be the same in terms of performance however the G75 will run slightly cooler and I find the 17 inch platform to he idea for gaming.

Yes...but how many 13-inch gaming laptops have 1080p...and none have internal GPUs capable to drive them ... Sony Vaio Z has a powerful plug-in GPU. Cool idea, but not practical. The cooling in a 13-inch lappy would also be an issue to consider.

Same internal. If you plan on playing on a monitor or tv get 55 or care about mobility , otherwise invest in 75.

It was an example sir. I'm just saying that because some people think just because the screen is bigger they think they would get more pixel density or they would gain lesser fps but that's not the case if both are running the same resolution and have similar components.

@RollinDavar, a g55 without 3D can reach 1080p (1920 x 1080), the same resolution of a g75.

you can only get 1366 x 768 max with a g55 with 3D (like mine).

however, i noticed that some retailers use different display panels, thus those models come with different resolutions.

This.

G55 2D = 1920x1080
G55 3D = 1366x768 (they don't make 120Hz in 15in at this res)
G75 2D = 1920x1080
G75 3D = 1920x1080

Can't remember if there's some 1600x900 display options. I haven't seen any

I ended up returning the G75VW had problems and since they were out of stock I got the G55VW, i wish t had the GTX 670 but other then that I actually like it better.

Tons of bloatware, I've never done a fresh install but I uninstalled it, ran ccleaner, defragged, set windows to run high performance.

Thanks, @Marshall, we appreciate knowing it...
will add:
G53SX: 1080p for 2D, 768p for 3D
G74SX: 1080p for 2D/3D - except for some BestBuy 900p
