Basically the title of this post. I went to stop throttlestopping my laptop with this trick using a USB stick and two files and then restarting the laptop and going to the bios where you would activate the files. When I did it, it shut down my laptop and I couldn't turn it on again. I tried removing the battery and only using the power cord but that didn't work and it's not charging it anymore. I need help desperately.

It sounds like you were attempting to flash a BIOS update and "bricked" your system.

Does it show any signs of life when you attempt to start it now? If so, a BIOS recovery may be possible. See http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?10273-G51JX-need-BIOS-recovery-instructions.

If not, you may need to RMA your laptop to ASUS or see if you can return it to your retailer.

How long have you owned this laptop?
