Just tested 306.23 w/ WEI, 3dmark Vantage, 3dmark06 and Furmark 1080p 15min burn in test.

This is GTX 660m G55vw

WEI - GPU Score and desktop gpu stayed 7.3 the same
Vantage - 11,716
3dmark06 - 16,045
Furmark - 74c max after 15 min burn in @ 1080p

No freezing no BSOD and so far it is stable.
CPU temps in all those test only registered a max of 81 centigrade.

Didn't fix any of my performance issues. Starting to think that I simply have a faulty card.

Very possible as I didnt have any issues with the drivers the laptop came with.

will download these when I laptop arrives, which should be any time now. unless the repair center installed them but I dought it as these are beta and they would have installed just the latest official drivers.

I installed these this morning and got a small but noticeable improvement in framerates with FSX so i'm very happy.

I also now have a shortcut with a symbol of a pair of 3d glasses inviting me to enable 3d, does this mean my 670m has magically become 3d capable??

These aren't Beta, these are WHQL. They just aren't ASUS tested or supported.

I think we'd still need a 3D screen...the only diff. in terms of graphics/3D between our best buy version an the full-fledged G75 is the 3-D capable screen

Going to test these out. Is there any improvements in GPU usage or in GPU Temperatures that anyone has noticed ?

Hi guys. I just saw this pop up on my screen about updating the driver. I was wondering, what does a new driver usually help with? I know that probably sounds silly, but this is my first ROG laptop, and although I've installed plenty of drivers, I've usually never bothered to update if the ones I had where functional and provided what I needed. But I noticed I seemed to have pretty dated drivers and just wanted to see what would change with the new ones? Right now I'm running on drivers 296.44

Whenever a new software product is released, you can read about the changes to it in the Release Notes, or in this case, a blog that highlights the major improvements with a link to the official Release Notes: http://techreport.com/news/23565/nvidia-churns-out-306-23-whql-drivers-urges-users-to-upgrade.

Dropped 3D mark scores down some points "enough to see it" Temps and all that the same no difference in the games i play in terms of performance. No improvement for overclocking on my cards "GTX 660m ,670m, and 680m." Max overclocks are all the same +/-2mhz

I also received the notification of the new driver. I went ahead and got it and installed with no issues.

Now to see how Borderlands 2 plays when I get it next week!

Exactly the same for me.. 3Dmark11 score was slightly decreased but overall gaming performance seems to be un-affected.. Otherwise all seems good with this driver :)
