Hi Guys,

I performed a clean installation on windows 7 HP as per http://forums.pctweakers.net/showthread.php/129-ASUS-G75VW-Clean-Install-Guide.

I have installed all the drivers as per the above link.

Everything else is working fine but I am getting low scores with windows experience index.

- Procresser 6.3, this score i am worried about - the rest seems okay.

Please help me out on this one i have tried everything i could and making sure that all the drivers are upto date.

Thanks in advance...

mine is also 7.6
so it might be if you are on battery, or if you are running stuff while its doing the scan.

What Power Profile are you currently using?

imho. Run it again plugged in. If this still brings no joy .. take it back to the retailer if this is an option. (exchange)

Unless like stated above 'something else' is interferring with the scan .. this cpu is 7.6 all day.

Have you looked in taskmanage/performance/processes to see if your cpu is being 'hogged' ? ..c.

My 2630QM is a 7.4 - your 6.3 indicates something is going on. Make sure that you are using the Maximum Performance profile as well as being plugged in. Oh, and like the others said, make sure that AV scans aren't running in the background.

.. and you haven't returned this to the retailer BY NOW because .. ? why ???
Take it back if it is an option. Exchange it. Get 0ne that brings JOY !!!

If not .. register @ (if you haven't already) http://vip.asus.com and request an RMA.

You, as the consumer believe it sub standard. So seems to say the consensus.
RMA? Fair Enough??? Leave it to 'them' then to say if is or is not fair enough and
why. Fair enough? offered imho. Exchange or RMA.c.

I think that is related to your HDD (5400 RPM)

The WEI is really meaningless - ignore it. It is set by the lowest subscore, which for any HDD is capped by MS at 5.9. You need an SSD or RAID to get a higher "Score".

Windows uses lowest performene score to determine the experience index. So your 7200 rpm HDD gives you the lowest 5.9, which's listed under Data Transfer Rate. I'm quiet sure all other rates are listed above 7 for you. For me, it's quiet normal and OK. But still wanna hang in upper levels,,,, go for a SSD dude... ;)

if that's your HDD rating with the stock drive, and the rest are in the "7's" that is normal.
you will need to upgrade to a SSD to get a better score.
windows 7 will rate most HDD @ 5.9 that are 7500rpm and under, SSD will get usually 7.9.
