I know you all are super busy but I just wanted to ask a question or two regarding my laptop. I have perused over the forums here and at notebookreview.com for information regarding a format of my HD's and reinstall of Windows 7-64bit.
Come this X-mas I am getting 2 1TB drives to replace the 2 500GB's I have currently and then, obviously do a fresh install of my baby here. Will the files listed on the forums here under the Important and Useful thread, be all I need?
Also will I have to reflash my Vbios like I did way back when to rid myself of the GSOD?
I use my laptop pretty much wirelessly as I am loath to string a CAT5 cable across my game room floor for my wife and clumsy daughter to trip over. With that said, is the upgrade to the wireless card a nice bonus. I am close enough now that I have 5 bars, out of 5. And I easly get 3.5MB down and 1.5MB up.. consistently. I think that is it...unless you know a way I can slip in another, more up to date video card than my M7820.

Thanks all!
ROLL TIDE!

Not that "super busy" I, for one, can't find time to reply..:)
I suppose that 2 1TB drives are your bundled Christmas gift to yourself?..
(Might consider changing one for an SSD for the OS drive. It will be worth it.)

Your laptop being a G73JH, there are two choices you might want to get your drivers from:
1. ASUS download site: http://rog.asus.com/notebook/17-inch/g73jh/
2. http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?1150-G73-74-53-Series-Driver-and-Application-Reference

I don't think there's a need for you to reflash the VBios even when doing a new Windows OS installation.

No reflash. I would just keep the wireless driver on a flash drive. Everything else you can either pre-download as well or just download once you have an internet connection.
