Hi guys.

In Brink (2010) a have very low FPS (3-5) on max settings or low settings (640*480 too!)
Display Driver v.8.683.0.0

In other games: Crysis-2 - 90-110 fps on 1280x, high settings
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood MP - 50-60 vsync on, 1920x, high
CODMW2 MP - 90-100 1920x, high
AvP (2010), L4D2, Starcraft II - all perfect, but Brink... I am sad >_<

What's my problem? Help please.
Sorry for my bad english.

Nope. Video driver, bios, vbios - all of that as factory defaults.

OMG
1) Upgrade BIOS
2) Upgrade vBIOS
3) Upgrade driver to 11.5
4) 11.5a hotfix

I am noob at that =( I am scared

Dunno if it matters, but a co-worker has a 'top of the line' (as of March) rig that he built from scratch that is having massive issues with Brink. He's been on the forums since Lunch today trying to track down the issues. Wouldn't be too shocked to find it, like many other games, wasn't fully tested with a wide variety of hardware before it came out.

Newest drivers (11.5a RC3 and 275.27) both have Brink performance fixes. And no need to install 11.5 first. The 11.5a RC3 pack is an all-in-one. I modded it for Mobility on the Driver Reference list I maintain here in the stickies.

No problem in all games, just Brink.

If you never updated your vBIOS, then you are running the stock drivers too. BRINK needs the latest drivers, and the latest drivers need the latest BIOS and vBIOS. So you will need to update the BIOS to 213, vBIOS to latest release, and your ATI drivers to 11.5a RC3.

Or, don't play Brink. Your choice.

I solved BSOD during instalation problem by unpluging HDMI.
And hey updating the vBios is real easy and very helpfull.

I have G73JH
A tested if updating bios, vbios and drivers will have any impact on performance in Brink.

A had everything in stock. And Brink was like 10 - 15fps with major lags. Also I noticed that changing details had very small to none effect on fps. So I set it to max details with no vsync, no AO, no AA. 1920x1080.

Then I updated to:
drivers 11.5 w/ hotfix
updated vbios to 913
and bios to 213

Bring is now much smoother, fraps says 24- 35fps, thats arround a double than before. (but still very low a guess crappy optimized engine because game doesnt look that great).

After updating I have noticed better performance in all other games. And occasional lags are gone.
