I have 2 brand-spankin-new sticks of 4GB RAM. I know it works because other G75 users have used this brand/model.

Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226279

I put it in the slots firmly, yet it doesn't seem to want to fit snugly, and when I go to start up my computer, I get a black screen and the keyboard light doesn't turn on, as if the computer senses an issue....and then it shuts down ~10 seconds later. If I take it out then it works like normal again. Leaving either one in doesn't work either. I read that others having this issue weren't seating the RAM correctly. That's fine, but how do I seat it then? I can't get it to stay firmly in the slot and I've tried half a dozen times....can someone do a video or something? I was referred to a guide by a user on here and it had just 1 photo and in the photo, it was already in place. Another user posted a video that was supposed to show a RAM upgrade on the G75 but showed the RAM as already installed. I'm losing my mind here!

@finalhour, there are so many youtube videos on how to put in the ram.

just realized that many that were complaining about ram not working actually don't know how to install ram properly :/

It was the 45 deg angle part I wasn't getting! Thank you! It worked!

Alot of people don't realize that with RAM you have to seat it in at a 45 Degree angle(in a Laptop). I was rather surprised by this a couple years ago when I upgraded the RAM on my now dead Lenovo R61 Thinkpad.

Yes you are right.
I just upgraded my ram two days ago and when placing the Ram chip in a 45 degree angle, the chip slides in quite easily.
