while i was playing GW2 i noticed my fan would speed up and gets a little loud. my GW2 settings is on best appearance running around 20fps (playable) but im a little concern about the fan, i checked the temperature it was about 85 degree and was running about 5-6 hours straight. seems fine but im little afriad what will happen in the future, fan might give up or something.

any concerns or ideas how to keep it in healthy condition?

thank you

It's seems like by dust cause...
I suggest you can simply check about the heatsink blowing wind too hot??
If can't grasp the handle to clean by youself, you can plan sent the NB to service center to check or clean..

Hey Pepeniva, like Sukara said, it could be a dust problem. But I would say if anything see if you can get a hold of some Air Duster and spray. Also, did you know about the throttling that occurs on the G74? That could also be the cause of your low framerates. Here's a thread detailing the issue and the workaround for it (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?2329-ATTENTION-G73-53SW-Owners-CPU-Throttling-to-798mhz-and-how-to-fix-it&country=&status=)
