Hello everyone!*
I recently purchased a netbook, ASUS Eee PC 1005HA (http://www.buonabatteria.com/asus-eee-pc-1005ha.html) (battery 6celle), and I found the program BatteryLifeExtender.*
Quest allows me to select two settings for the battery.*
A up to 100%, and one to to 80%, which enables you to preserve battery life.*
this option, it is written that is particularly useful if you use the netbook attached to AC ASUS Eee PC 1005HA (http://www.batterietutti.com/asus-eee-pc-1005ha.html) power, and I use every day the netbook university almost always disconnected from the current, and what interests me has the longest battery life.*wanted to know if it was really so useful decrease slightly autonomy in exchange to last longer battery life (even though I did not understand if it is only useful if is used plugged in).*thank you :)

While it's your laptop, so you can do what you want with it, I am generally wary of those kinds of programs. There are a number of, for want of a better term, snake oil programs that make all kinds of fantastical claims that are completely impossible to ever actually deliver on. I'm not saying this particular program is in that group, but there are plenty similar programs that are.

Generally speaking the brightness of your display is what is going to take up the most battery power. If you drop the brightness level to the minimum that is comfortable for you, that will probably do more to save battery life during the day than any program ever could.

Anything that claims that is likely to be lying. The best that you'll likely get is a tool that throws all the Windows power settings into one place, which is maybe slightly more convenient. The worst is virus-laden malware.

Like @cl-scott said, especially so for netbooks is that the display is the biggest power-draw of anything. Now my G53SX at full bore pulls more power to the GPU than the display.
