Are you open to the idea of a clean windows install or do you need to do an exact factory restore? A clean install is easy and legal with your product key and you can get an ISO from Digital River to do it.

Also, do you have a 55 or 75?

You didn't specify whether you have a G55 or G75, so...

http://us.estore.asus.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=5083 (G55)
http://us.estore.asus.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=4969 (G75)

Those would be the Asus preferred method of going about it. Grabbing a generic Win 7 ISO and using your unit's product key is also an option, but you'll be on your own to do the driver installs and everything else that goes with installing an OS.

@cl-scott, the advantages of a pristine ISO is that you get to install only the junkware you want, and it also allows for more customization. Not a big deal though - some just don't want the hassle of uninstalling all the software they don't need.

I'd advise doing the ASUS route unless you are comfortable tracking down and installing all the drivers from the various manufacturer's websites yourself. If you download from ASUS, you might as well install from their ISO.
