Having an issue with my Asus G73Sw which started a few days back - the right fan (GPU fan) is constantly running at 100%, even at idle. As you can imagine, it's very, very loud.

Tried cleaning it, which didn't work. Temperature seems right for normal computer use. I've attached an HWinFo4 screen grab below.

BIOS version is 205, which is the most up-to-date version on the ASUS website.

Any ideas on how to correct?

The GPU Fan Sensor under the GPU Clock Sensors in HWINFO64 always reports 100%. The EC Sensor reports the CPU and GPU fan speeds in RPM. That is the value you should monitor.

Check out http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?25130-G53SX-fans-blowing-at-100-capacity. @wistryker reports his fan speed is 5280 RPM, over twice the speeds you report. A GPU Fan Speed of 2170 RPM at idle is normal.

Perhaps fan noise has increased in your G73SW. Try blowing out the fan intakes and exhausts with compressed gas. A bad fan bearing or improper fan mounting can also result in excessive noise.

hi, try other utility like speedfan.
