Hello!

I buy this laptop two months ago. It perform like a charm but i am kinda dissapointed with lcd which is glare one @1600x900.
It has very narrow wiev angle and black colour is kinda washed out.
I stumbled on this while surfing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVurjmgur4Y
and wonder if i can install on G74SX-TY249D matte full hd lcd seen in BBK7 G74SX laptop.
I mean what is hardware diff between these two models except lcd? Do they have same mobo?
I know about warranty so dont mention that. I am just discussing possibillities here!

Any ROGer with info about that?

Cheers

Thanx Mike!
Those two models have same graphic adapter so i recon ribon is the same in both models. I dont like glare lcd`s and would be nice to install matte full HD screen on this baby. I couldnt wait and/or search for full HD G74SX coz they were unavaliable in Croatia two months ago so i took this one and i would be lieing if say its not good machine :) but anyway it would be nice to have matte one.
So on Asus site under G74SX specs, i read this:

Display 17.3" 16:9 HD+ (1600x900)/Full HD (1920x1080)/Full HD 3D(1920x1080 120Hz) LED Backlight

so i presume that it wouldnt be problem for upgrade if it is possible through Asus directly?

These are just thoughts coz i plan to keep this one for few years. I only use laptop when i am on cargo ship for half part of year. I have desktop solution at home.

Any ideas?

Cheers
