If you're playing it, mind sharing your specs + settings and fps? Interested in seeing how we're doing.

With an OC'd GTX660m @ 1155/3000 - 1600x900 { DX11, AA Off, VSync -1Frame/2Buff / SSAO: HBAO / FOV: 75.xx @ Ultra Settings } 32min-39fp

If I go 1080p with those settings, I get 24-29fps. If I put some settings to medium/high I'll avg 40ish fps.

GTX660m Oc'd at 1195/2950 - 1080p. Dx11, AA off, vSync off , GPU buff at 3 (not sure what it does though, anyone care to exlain?)/ SSAO:SSAO/ textures: High, Ambient Lighting: High, Shadow: High, Post FX: low, Geometry: medium, Vegetation: Very High, Terrain: High, Water: Very High, Environment: High.
Getting 41 fps max, averaging 36, minimum (very few areas) 28-29....

Forgot Alpha Coverage to enhanced (makes a pretty noticeable difference in vegetation, specially if you have AA off)

It's the same thing in the NVIDIA control panel for pre-rendered frames. Usually more frames makes things smoother (even at lower fps) but will introduce input lag if it's set too high. Lowering this number can improve fps some, but might cause stuttering. Depends heavily on the graphics card/game settings.

Switched SSAO, to HBAO btw, and lost no fps, maybe 1...

on my G74sx, no probs :) DX11, 1080p, v-syns 1 frame, MSAA off, HBAO, Video quality: shadows low, post FX medium, the other everything HIGH, 33-40 FPS, no OC.

My settings: turn off msaa, low post fx and turn on fxaa in Nvidia control panel. That will increase your fps a lot and less jagged pillar in game.

G55VW with GTX660m (OCed +135/+400) + Latest 310.70 NVIDIA Driver (Fix FC3 Lags) + FarCry3 Update v1.02 (Fix FC3 Lags).

-----------------------------
All these settings same for all tries.
V-Sync = 1 Frame
GPU Max Buffered Frames = 3
DX 11
No AA
SSAO Method = HBAO
-----------------------------
Setting 1
1920x1080 (1080p)
Ultra
-25-35 FPS
-----------------------------
Setting 2
1600x900 (720p)
Ultra
-35-45 FPS
-----------------------------
Setting 3
1366x768
Ultra
-45-55 FPS
-----------------------------
Setting 4
1366x768
Copy "Ultra" setting then
Turn down Post Fx to "Low" (*Up to this point is 60 FPS but you will still get 45 FPS drop on certain parts, for solid 60 FPS look below.)
Turn down Shadow to "Medium"
Turn down Water to "Medium"
-Solid 60 FPS (Never Drops)

I'll say Setting 2 is the best if you graphic, Very playable.
Or Setting 4 if you want max performance (still look good).
