Steps to bring out the sound of front speaker in the G75VW.

1. right-click speaker icon in the taskbar and click Playback Devices.
2. choose the first default speakers and click configure in the lower left side.
3. make sure 5.1 Surround is highlighted. Click next.
4. only tick the subwoofer, untick others. then click next.
5. untick the front left right and surround speakers. apparently they are not full-range speakers.
6. Finish.

My theory is that the windows consider the speakers as 5.1 surround but the laptop isn't capable of outputting the sound. So the driver route RR, RL and C sound to the subwoofer thus producing the terrible sound. This "fix" is only bringing out the high and mid of front spekers. The high is not high enough though and the subwoofer still producing mid and high sound. You can still hear the sound coming from left and the whole sounded like a mono speaker. Asus please fix this problem.

Windows 7 64bit
Official Asus Via audio driver 6.0.1.10600

If my theory is true, also please fix the automatic headphone detection to select the stereo sound with full-range speaker. I heard much better sound in this case than the default 5.1 surround.

If anyone here tried it can you write down your finding?
