I think it may just be a driver issue, but the laptop was advertised as 1900x1080 when I bought it, and it's only running at 1600x900 with the latest video drivers from NVidia. Any idea on how to get access to the full resolution?

Go to the classic desktop, right-click and select the display properties. Set the resolution there.

When you install correct driver for G75 by Win 8, i think in properties would be see the all resoultion that supported.

Tried both that and the NVidia resolutions menu. It only goes up to 1600x900.

G75VW-TH71 from Tigerdirect.com

And now that I look at it again, I don't actually see it say 1900x1080 on the page. Is the TH71 only 1600x900?

Bump. Is the G75VW-TH71 only 1600x900 max? I can't find specs for the screen anywhere and assumed they were all 1080p.

G75VW-TH71 (http://www.amazon.com/G75VW-TH71-2-40-3-40GHz-i7-3630QM-Blu-Ray-Windows/dp/B009POU36S) - check the product features.
I'm afraid it's a 1600x900 screen. TigerDirect probably omitted that information on their specs sheet to not deter people from buying it.

Ahh, good call. I was searching for the word resolution and didn't think to just search for the numbers, lol.

Yea, that makes sense. To me a smaller resolution means better framerates anyways; I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a driver issue somewhere. I should be able to plug it in to a bigger monitor/TV with the HDMI out for movies anyways. Thanks for confirming. :-)
