Hey everyone -

I just got my REPLACEMENT g53 from Amazon today.

I had to return my first one because the videocard failed randomly and I had enough of dealing with that garbage.

So, now today I get my second one and I turn it on. I immediatley start the backup program to make some ISO DVD's, and about halfway through, I notice the screen now has yellow artifacts (like little strange rectangular and square yellow pixels randomly sheeting any white space).

What the hell? Does anyone know what this is or how to fix it?

Thanks,
Brady

And this is with a brand new one, including a new power brick? Did the problem go away when you rebooted?

Yep. Completely brand new. I downloaded all of the updates and everything and rebooted. So dissapointed.

Please let me know if there is any fix, otherwise I will have to go through ANOTHER return process.

Brady

are you overclocking your video card?

I don't even know how to do that. This happened the first second I turned it on for the FIRST time.

And now, the screen wont even turn on. Keyboard lights, fans, etc. are blasting away but the screen is permanently dead. WTF.

Returning tomorrow, may invest in different brand.
