Hello Forums,

I just purchased this G46 from best buy: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6775259&type=product&id=1218806576744
and was wondering what is included in the purchase? I know it says whats included on the bestbuy purchase, but isn't there anything else included? I watched several G-series unboxing videos on youtube and they all included some goodies with the computer like a mouse, a bag, and/or a headset. When I pick up the computer from bestbuy will I find anything besides the computer or not?

Cheers,

The ASUS G46 from Best Buy unfortunately comes with none of those things.

Thanks for the reply.

Any ideas when more retailers will have the G46 like Amazon, I can't find any information online anywhere, not even the official RoG website. Its like one big mystery. Quite frustrating really.

Currently, HIDevolution is the only other option for purchasing the ASUS G46VW. http://www.hidevolution.com/asus-g46vw-bhi5n43-2gb-nvidia-gtx-660m-14.html

Newer models are expected to be released in Q2 2013 so that will be when other retailers are expected to get it.

To some. I really don't mind it since I like the size.
I really don't even think I will notice any difference, I am a really casual gamer.

Another question guys, the g55vw from bestbuy: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009AEW5HI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Agreed.

I'm waiting on haswell i7 mobile processors. And I hope nvidia puts out their maxwell gpu's earlier to compete with AMD 8000's. ;)

Suprisingly, The resolution is actually perfect for a 14" screen it looks flawless with a gtx 660. However watching movies look a bit dull on the screen while playing games look colorful and crisp.

The resolution itself is not the issue most of the time, it's the quality of the panel they use on the 768p monitors. 768p display tend to have low quality panel with poor contrast, poor brightness and too low color gamut. The G46 seem to only have about 40% color gamut compared to the G55/G75 panels where it is close to covering the SRGB and is between 60%-70% color gamut.

I don't mind the 768p resolution if it has a quality standard 60% color gamut on it with good contrast/brightness and that's rarely in any of these 768p laptops that are mostly out there and to get that type of quality, you have to go to a higher resolution.
