The backlit keyboard on my G60 refuses to work. I've installed all the drivers including the ATK Hotkey driver. When I press fn + f3/f4 I can see the on screen display showing that the backlight is indeed going up and down but I don't actually see the keyboard doing it.

I had bought my G60 second hand. The original HD in there was toast so I bought a new one and popped it in and installed Windows 7. The problem is that I don't have access to the recover partition of the old drive. I even tried to mount the old drive on another machine to access it but that drive is done for. I'm not sure if there is some extra driver that needs to be installed.

The guy I bought the machine from insists that the keyboard back light was working.

I do have 2 base system devices that have not yet had drivers installed but can't figure out what they are:
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E230&SUBSYS_1F471043&REV_01
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E230&SUBSYS_1F471043
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E230&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E230&CC_0880

and

PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&SUBSYS_1F471043&REV_01
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&SUBSYS_1F471043
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_E852&CC_0880

Any ideas?

According to vip.asus.com it's Ricoh CardReader and Ricoh PCIe Memory Stick Host Controller. Download and install Ricoh Card Reader Driver - it covers both devices and works for Windows 7, Vista and even XP.
