Jorlanm I just checked the specs on the official website and found a few differences in listed specs
Video Differences
G73SW NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 460M 1.5GB GDDR5 VRAM
G74SX NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560M with 3GB/2GB GDDR5 VRAM
Audio Differences
G73SW Lists a subwoofer
G74SX does not list a subwoofer
Card Reader
G73SW 5 -in-1 card reader ( SDXC/ MS/ MS Pro/ MS Duo/ MMC)
G74SX 3 -in-1 card reader ( SDXC/ MS/ MMC)
Webcam
G73SW 2.0 Mega Pixel Fixed web camera
G74SX HD Web Camera
Bluetooth
G73SW Built-in Bluetooth™ V2.1+EDR (Optional)
G74SX Built-in Bluetooth™ V3.0 (Optional)
Security
G73SW LoJack
G74SX Kensington lock
Now the specs other than the above are identical which may not be a good upgrade from the G73SW, the G73Jh to the G74SX might be a decent upgrade, now if the Headphone Audio Out was a shared fiber out with True 5.1 I'd be very interested, especially if I could get a good price out of my 1 year old G73Jh

actualy I think the G73JH GPU is still better than the G74SX...
the 1.5GB and 3GB memory difference wont matter cause the
GTX 560m is just a higher clocked GTX 460m which means it dont have the bandwith to take advantage of the 3GB memory space...
The 1GB ATi 5870 can perform better than the 3GB GTX 560m

I just ran a 3dmark 11 v1.0.2 and got a P2220 with the latest drivers on the G73Jh-X1, the only difference my laptop has from stock is the boot drive is a crucial c300 128gb ssd and the updated vbios that Chastity posted.
Not sure if it saves the sessions but here's the link to the full results

Its funny how when the Ati 5870 was replaced by the GTX 460 and They said althought the 5870 is faster you cant tell the difference between the 5870 and 460 running games...
Now the GTX 560m is out which is still slower than the Ati 5870 and they say its way faster then the GTX 460m...hhhmmm

Jorlanm the 500 series is relatively new, where the 5870 has been getting about a years worth of driver updates we may be just 1 driver update from a reversal/waffle stomping who knows, time will tell. One thing I was wondering about with the G74 Series, does it have native first party SATA III support?

Wellthe Gtx 460 M and the 560 M are similar in specs its just the 560 m has higher clock so i dont think well see a big gap between them.
As far as SATA III ... the chipset are still the same as the G73 so nope...
