Hi I just bought a set recently and was thinking of doing some customizations to it. Namely changing the motherboard to a maximus v formula and removing the preinstalled aio water cooling to swap with with a corsair h100i aio water cooling. Just wondering if there is enough space to fit it into the awesome case before I actually go ahead with it so would like to hear some opinions from the experts here on where I should mount the radiator to as it is pretty big if I'm not wrong 240mm. Note that I also changed the gtx560ti with a gtx680 DCUII TOP. Also what extra cables and accessories I will be needing to get to mount everything with an additional 6 fans

Yikes !!! Welcome to ROG.
The formula is an Eatx .. If I am correct .. correct me if I am wrong ..
but doesnt that come with a maxIV z68 ??? which is also Eatx ..
so fitting should be no problem ...

That make this project a very expensive case .. but I sure do like how ya ROG.
If the boards are the same size .. I see no problem with it ..
As to the cooling .. I have no idea .. but then, I like Air.

Best of Luck in this .. Please, Please, keep us posted ... with pics .. pant pant .. heheh.c.

Sadly it didn't came with an rog mobo. It's a normal p8z77 mobo if I'm not wrong. And yes the max v formula is e-atx hence I'm not sure if it will fit.

There aren't many pictures of an opened CG8565. Could you take some pictures of the inside of the case and post them here? And it'd also help alot if you could measure the clearance space for the GPU. Just grab a ruler and measure from the back panel up to the edge of where the HDD bays are. ;)

As for the MVF, it's not a true E-ATX motherboard. It's only like half an inch wider than the p8z77. ;)

hmmm .. I must have missed something then .. because the specs list MaxIVformula as 'the board' .. sorry for the misInfo.

yes, yes ... pics .. inside .. and that yummy case.thnx.

The holes will line up .. you will just have a touch of overhang as brotherChino pointed out .. but I'm
thinking if 'some' of them had the IV in them ... then you should be golden.c.

No worries cos in my country apparently all the models don't have rog boards in them cept for the extreme version which is the new cg8890 with a rampage 4 extreme and an even more wicked looking case. Expect some pics tmr!! Couldn't get it done tonight

Don't forget to measure the clearance for the GPU. :p

Personally I don't think there's much space for anything :(

You won't be able to fit a H100 in there, only a direct replacement for the Aestek block with something like a H60. A thicker radiator version like the H80 might need to remove the top fan as well.

You can replace the motherboard but you'll lose the auto-overclocking button on the case as the motherboard has been customized.

Any idea if I can customize to re enable the auto overclock
