Ok I'd like to know if there is a app or program that Asus has tat will allow me to know which CASE i have as in Upper/Lower as there is no light/led to indicate caps on/off, so I'd like to know if there is something that i can install that will pop up, at the bottom of my screen or even in the bottom right part of the task bar where the network icon is that will let me know f it's on or off.

As it is rather annoying to be typing things on Facebook or other forums, to then look up and see all that you have typed is in upper case and then having to either retype it all or having to paste it into word and convert it to lower/sentence case.

So if anyone know of a app/program that allows the caps to shown on/off on screen please post a link, as I and I'm sure there are others here that are sick of having to retype posts/ word docs because of it.

The G75VW does have a CASE indicator light, but it's situated on the front-left of the lower portion of the laptop. Even though this is the case, I do appreciate your thread, as I'm used to a keyboard that has the indicator somewhere more near the end of my fingers as I type.

Thnx for that I, I never noticed that the led was on the front, apart from that who would look there when all normal k/bords have them above the num pad.

thanx for the links I did try a search but nothing seemed trusting enough to D/L

PS: You have to be careful f programs from Cnet's Download.com as they always have spam that wants to change your default browser to some other crap which you don't want and half the time it won't complete the install until you select one.
Then there are the ones that are just 30 day trials and are a waste of hdd space and time installing.

yes, i am aware of that. i rarely download apps these days. oh sorry, i thought the first link is a freeware without any additional surprises (as advertised at the page; i also read that the author is giving away the source code, so i assume it's a free one :/ ).

It's all good i was quick enough to remove it, it also changed my home page which promptly placed some advert for wqrinkle removal below the google search box. but i change my home page back to Google.com.au from clero.com and quickly uninstalled all clero crap from me laptop, was hoping maybe the ASUS guys would be able to create one that we could download, ast least then we would know it was trust worthy and would be spam/adware free.

Then again, now that i know that the led light is on the front i can just keep me eye on it when typing.
