Hi all.

I recently installed my Phoebus card into my Win7/64 system and everything works great - almost.

When I play an album or a playlist, I get an annoying very brief static blip or burst a few seconds before the end of the track. Sometimes there's also one a few seconds into the beginning of the next track, but that's not predictable.

It's not the actual music files, it's strictly something to do with the card/driver. When I would listen to the same music with the built in sound card, this didn't happen.

I'm using Windows Media Player version 12, so maybe I also need to find a better player as well (suggestions are welcome, but not iTunes!!!).

Would love to solve this - it's quite annoying!

Thanks,
Jerry

1.This may be codec-related problem.
Try to install
http://codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_full.htm
and choose to install "Media player classic" while installation process.
Play it with this player.
Also you may try
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Or
http://www.foobar2000.org/

2.Try different "Sample Rate" settings in Phoebus driver (in Speakers and Headphones sections accordingly).

I've tested this and have found no definite cause. In the past I solved it by adjusting seemingly unrelated network settings...at least I thought I did, but after long listening sessions I still sometimes have to restart Media Player to get rid of it. I've tried several other players (VLC, MPC-HC, Foobar2000). So far I've found it only happens in Media Player. I'm going to try Winamp soon to see if it works properly there too.

EDIT: Winamp works properly as well.
