Nice scores man, my desktop gets around 5k, but that's with the standard version of 3dmark and last time i ran it on me G75 i got over 3k, I will post mine when it comes back from Asus Repair center.
may have to buy 3d Mark just to try the advanced settings.

Cool This i what i got..

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/46223

Strange why i get low scores on ice storm :s i get constant 120fps on that ! lol

Still these benchmarks are for mid-lower end machines except firestrike. I really like Firestrike ! Looks amazing with all that tesselation and accelrated physX :) that is the only real test for our caliber of systems :) I like 3dmark11 better

@Zeng408: Was not on my full full OC but still beat ur physics score ;) lol by the way what have you clocked your 670mx at ? Have you got the custom bios for higher OC's ?? Im thinking of getting one for a friend for about 800-900 Full spec 3D with SSD - My bro just bought a computer store so we get amazing prices :)

This is not 3Dmark11 which is designed for dx11 only. This one is known as just "3Dmark" lol i believe it designed for Windows, android and iOS devices such as high end gaming tablets and laptops specifically..

ohh yea **** i didnt see that lol..

Ok so what you wanna do is either get Nvidia Inspector or MSI-Afterburner (i personally use MSIafterburner) and get the GPU drivers which im sure u have already since u are the "driver specialist" :p..

Now when u install MSI afterburner or Nvidia inspector go and enable the on screen display and set it to display everything.. The main thing u need is ur temprature reading so that you dont fry ur gpu...

Then get Uniengine Heaven benchmark. Because every card is different, what you wanna do is identify the maximum limits you can push it without causing excess heat. Long periods of excess heat will wear down the gpu and possibly crack your thermal paste.. Ideally you do not want it going over 80 but want to maintain stable at 75degrees max or less if possible depending on ur ambient room temp..

On MSI afterburner there is two settings you can change, Core clock and memory clock.
Set your core clock to 720mhz and memory clock to 1650. Run Heaven benchmark and see how it performs, you wanna look out for visual anomalies or artifacts.. (if u experience artefacts then u need to clock down a bit but it should be fine as i clock mine to 750 all the time)
Once you run it and see there is no problems then scale your core clock to 740mhz and try again.
Repeat the process and if it all seems fine try 750. (memory clock should stay at 1650)

If you can run it fine at 750/1650 then set some profiles. Keep one for casual gaming at 720-740/1650 and one hardcore clock 750/1650..
Make sure you click reset and reset your clocks when you are not gaming or benchmarking as there is no need to be overclocked when not making use of it..

Also i suggest in ur nvidia control panel, turn power management mode to adaptive so it can scale up and down as needed and also make sure to monitor temps in game !

Yes, but it isn't linked with the results.

Because there are P-states for GPU loads, when the tests completed it would have dropped a P-state during finalizing of test results since there isn't as a high of a load anymore. So that is what you are seeing. It's running on P0 (which switched to P5) instead of forced P-states (using nvidiaInspector) which lock the clocks.

Same thing happens with the CPU under tests, some show 319xMhz or 309x (maximum processor state- 100%) while others show 119x (mimimum processor state - 5%.)

Plus the results speak for themselves, you'd know if it was running that low right from the start.

Hello Everyone,

Moderate clock I recon the memory clock will max out around 2500-2600mhz the core clock can be pushed to 750 max without voltage mod.

Used Nvidia Inspector, even though you see EVGA on my desktop. Pretty cool temps overall, fans didn't even crank up I figure that has something to do with 206 bios
G75vx
670mx 731mhz core clock, 2488mhz memory clock
1902319024

IIRC
900fps on icestorm
20-100 fps on explosion physx test ( less after explosion)
90fps on cloud gate
130fps on bubble physx test
20-60 fps on fire
30fps on the jellyfish physx test
and the last combined test was like 10fps I think they might increase by a few FPS if i switch to cpu physx depending on how intensive they are and how their written.

I tried playing Tomb Raider on OC @+135/1000 using MSI Aftrburner, it has max temp @68C hitting up to 36- 45 FPS on ULTRA settings. while on stock GPU Clock/Mem it only avg on 28 FPS.

on 3D Mark i got these scores while on OC +135/1000 @max temp of 72
19041

how long can you run on OC config without endangering your system? most importantly your GPU?

ManOfBusiness

^ 70c is pretty warm I would not push it any farther. I saw same temperatures when I was stress testing with occt. And that was with stock clocks bios 204 and old driver. To preserve good life out of the GPU stick with those clocks & keep your fans clean. Ideally I'd want to keep a 45tdp in the 60-70c. & update drivers you should see a nice little fps jump in tomb raider. Also 206 bios is available.

gokica

The safe limit temperature for the 670MX is 75C. Even above it no harm will be done but let us just stick with what modders say.

The 670MX has no 45W but 75W TDP.

I suspect it may have something to do with bloatware in the background, atleast on my end, I have some bloat processors running in the background.

Also some may be running on windows 7 instead of 8, that could make the difference also. especially with certain drivers.

Then there is also always a factory freak that produces absurd numbers no matter what. lol

3-5k on which benchmark?

If you look at my benchmarks, I'm currently holding the #1 spot for 3DMark 11, Cloud Gate and Fire Strike for the GTX 660m. For some oddball reason, someone has a bit over 2k higher score than mine in Ice Storm. I'm guessing they were driver tweaking to ooze out more points without actually getting any real performance gains through OC'ing.

Using MSI Afterburner at +135/+1000 gives me about a 13% boost in Ice Storm, 17% in Cloud Gate, and 36% in Fire Strike. Running Kombustor plugin with MSI AB validates big improvement as well: 48 fps stock, 65 fps +135/+1000 (about the same boost as in Fire Strike).
