So, I was thinking if I should overclock my GPU, and while searching I came across this:
http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?24229-quot-Normal-quot-Temperature-for-GTX-670M-in-G75VW
My furmark temperatures were stable at 85 degrees for a minute while trying it out at 1080p, no aa, windowed and I got about 9fps. I ran for about 6 minutes and it seemed to go stable at that point, so I closed the window after two minutes from that.
Is this normal? In that thread I don't think anyone had mid-80 temps. I've had that 73 degrees while playing the Crysis 3 beta.

Mine ran the 15 minute test at 1080 full screen 82C max , on mine it took a while to get up to that temp but it didn't exceed 82, you might want to run the full 15 test if your temps get much higher you may have a problem?

I'm going to do usage tests from now on. I'm going to run Crysis 3 beta with unlocked framerate and see what I get (I have a 58fps limit with a configuration file to reduce screen tearing) (btw, I get input lag with V-Sync on, weird)

EDIT: OC'd to 755/1650, seems stable but temps go up to 77 in C3beta, BF3 test is on it's way.

Hey there brndwn, your temps with furmark are absolutley normal, although a little bit on the hot side.. 80-85 is the normal range on G75s OC'd to the maxx stable settings running furmark.. I get the same figures lol..

But yea in game you will never hit such temps.. at 750/1700 i am usually around 74 stable, but C3 beta, planetside 2 and guildwars seem to get it extra hot but still my stable temps are 75 usually, but you room ambient temps also makes quite a diff.. with my windows closed and heaters on ive hit 78 sometimes playing GW2..

I would say try and keep temps at 74-76 max if you are gaming for long periods at a time to preserve the heatsinks and have it last longer.. :)

i get 85 in the 15min furmark as well... some other guys here get like 75 max if i`m right in same 15min test

but

playing some intense graphic games wont pass over 75... maybe 78 depends on the game dow...so i decided not to RMA it since many have more problems with it when they get it back or it takes months until they its back.
