Welcome to the forums! :) I have not heard of anyone doing it on the G75VW, persay, but I know that some people have done it on older G-series models. They said that it is difficult, but not impossible, it just takes a lot of time, a careful hand, and patience. It is not for the faint of heart, but it should be definitely doable.

If you are able to repaste a notebook, you can change the screen too.
It takes up to an hour when you are careful. I think its the same as in the G73.

personally i think it's not hard to disassemble the display panel BUT patience is very important in carrying out the process!

here is one of the guides that elaborated the swapping process (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?4741-G74SX-BBK7-%28Best-Buy-version%29-LCD-Upgrade-complete). here's the one with photos (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?26222-How-To-G74SX-Screen-Upgrade-Replacement) (the video version (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?26492-VIDEO-G74SX-Screen-Upgrade-Replacement&p=197221&viewfull=1#post197221)).

@OlMightyG, sorry but that guide from computerupgradeking is not for tearing down the display panel.

I was wondering what screens can you put in? where can you find them to buy?

screentekinc.com They do not list Asus computers on their main page, but if you read their FAQ, it says they can supply compatible screens.
You have the option of replacing the screen yourself with supplied instructions, or you can send them your laptop for them to do the work. In either case you should contact them to determine exactly what is needed, and confirm if that is currently in stock. I am now deciding wheather to try this, or if I should just purchase a new monitor with a glossy screen.
