I keep it simple. I am not a big fan of icons all over. I keep what I use often on the task bar.

I couldn't help myself...

The first one is my old (favorite) customized theme, included is: bbLean, Rainmeter, custom icons + cursor, and much more visual tweaks not seen.

The second one is my current one as of now. I find it much more simpler but not as rich in quick slots for ease of program accessibility. I'll be making this one better in time.

The third one is another old custom theme I made. I'm not really into making wallpapers but I liked Sentinels at the time, so I made one to go with my layout.

The fourth one is a REALLY old one of mine, including the glowing alien eyes that I put in. At the time there was nothing available as a wallpaper that had good looking glowing Alienware alien head eyes. So it forced me to make one.

MULTIPLE DISPLAYS/DIFFERENT WALLPAPERS

Some of you may not know how to do this, while some of you already do. To those that don't, here is a small guide I made. Now there are other ways to go about this (software, sites) I just prefer this method myself.

If you have more than one display connected (multiple displays) and want different wallpapers of your own for each one but don't know how go about it, here's what you need to do:

First, find the wallpapers of your choice that match each of your displays native resolution; I like to use wallbase.cc, sxc.hu and goodfon.com for HQ wallpapers. Then save them to your desktop.

Second, run a photo-editor like Photoshop, Paint.NET, GIMP, Pixl.. etc

In any of these editors, you will start by creating a new document with a pixel width totaling the two wallpapers combined or of both 1080p displays like in the example below. The pixel height remains the same as that of your displays native resolution or wallpaper of choice dimensions (do not combine the height at all.)

EXAMPLE: 1080p = (W) 1920 x (H) 1080. We take the width and double it since your other wallpaper or display is 1080p also. You should get a total of (W) 3840 x (H) 1080.

Input this total into your width and height dimensions field for your new document as shown below.

http://i47.tinypic.com/34yec21.jpg

NOTICE: If you have another display connected that has a max resolution of 1366x768, 1440x900, 1600x900 or 1680x1050 or anything else not 1080p, you will add those pixel width resolutions together just like you did for the 1080p displays in the example above. Out of the two different display resolutions, the higher displays resolution 'height' will always be used.

Now you need to open your wallpapers into this new document. Simply drag & drop them onto your new document workspace.

Since I'm using Photoshop in my illustrations, you will need to use the "Enter" key after a drag & drop to confirm its placement. After your selection of wallpapers are added, next is lining them up.

On the right side of your workspace, you'll notice the "Layers" tab. By default, the name of your wallpapers will appear here where I renamed mine to "LEFT" and "RIGHT."

http://i45.tinypic.com/30keuz8.jpg

Here you will select your wallpapers via their layers and line them up correctly using the Move Tool https://coursework.stanford.edu/access/content/group/Multimedia/photoshop_screenshots/photoshop_move_tool.png (located on the top left side of your document workspace.) You can also select it by pushing the "V" key.

Take note on the order you put your wallpapers in, as they will be displayed in the order they were put in.

You can do this for as many displays as you want, each time adding the pixel width again and again.

http://i48.tinypic.com/149qtj4.jpg

If your displays resolutions do not match each others, you will need to align your wallpapers exactly as shown in the picture below.

http://i46.tinypic.com/r0thco.png

After everything looks right, save your document as a .jpg or .png if you prefer it.

http://i45.tinypic.com/ftj9uh.jpg

Lastly, you will go to your desktop background properties. There you will browse to your "Picture location" and then below for "Picture position" you will select "Tile" mode.

http://i48.tinypic.com/jabb84.jpg

You're finished, just click "Save changes."

arkmnrd, that's a really nice desktop you have there. Can you share some information about it? Like it looks like you use the ROG windows theme but enhanced with some extra stuff. Can you give a link for downloading it?

1. basic ROG windows theme you can find in ROG website
2. Hexagon ROG V2 wallpaper
3. ROG theme rocketdock
4. rainmeter (this one I just got a couple of skins and modified a bit to match the theme)
5. Hydra Dark Glass theme

Just to answer that, if you have a display configuration that is up/down instead of side/side, the guide would still be the same as your displays would just be physically located in different positions.

Good find for Windows 8 users PadiG75VX, that makes it much simpler for them.
