I've had this laptop for a few years now, but the CPU get's very hot these days, ranging between 70-100c and this is on IDLE!

Now i know for a fact it is due for new thermal paste, I am looking to apply it myself rather than get a store to do it for me, and i got a few high grade TIM's here that i rather use. But im not 100% on opening the laptop.

I'm curious to know that if i unscrew all the screws on the bottom, I need to obviously remove the smaller screws under the battery pack too I assume? From close exception I am wondering if the USB ports will be caught?

I LIKE MY O.C COLD

Also remember that lint tends to clog up the cpu HS so clean that out too.
