I just took the 3dmark and furmark test for my asus G75VX.

I took the furmark test on a resolution of 1920X1080 and the score was - SCORE:952 points (15 FPS, 60000 ms)

The 3Dmark 11 score was

Both of these scores look highly unimpresive
I'm a bit of a noob so could sum1 tell me if these results are to be expected or is there something wrong with the system.
(sorry for the wall of text)

Yeah they looked highly unimpressive to me as well when i ran the tests last night after buying the G75VX-T4066H. Truth be told if you OC your GFX card that 3D Mark score is going to be a lot higher.

Unfortunately these are the actual scores you're going to get with a gaming laptop such as the Asus G75. If you want a lot more you should try something with the 680m / 680mx gfx card or as i said above OC it. The way i see it as long as you can run everything on HIGH/ULTRA with a pretty decent FPS rate then i don't think you should worry about it much :)

Your furmark score puzzles me. I have an Asus G55vw with the Nvidia gtx 660m and my furmark score was 1103.

Yeah, my 3d Mark 11 score was pretty much the same :

P3859
Graphics Score
3669
Physics Score
7404
Combined Score
2904

However when Overclocked there is a MASSIVE jump:

3d mark score P4787
Graphics Score
4616
Physics Score
7382
Combined Score
3835

This is just he GPU overclocked . - if i overclock the CPU as well i would expect it to be higher!
