hello guys, sorry if this one was already posted and answered..

i decided to put out the DVDRW optical drive from my G55VW and place SATA HDD in its place.
but im not sure about the temperature of the new HDD, if it will be ok, and if this bay will work for the G55VW:

http://www.alza.cz/icybox-ib-ac642-d339109.htm
it has even external box for the optical drive, so thats nice :)

and i will buy this hard drive:
http://www.alza.cz/western-digital-2-5-scorpio-blue-1000gb-8mb-cache-d251350.htm

i have zero experiences with such hardware swappings, so i would realy love some approval from those with more experiences.

thx

and when i am here, i will ask second question and thats about memories.

on my G55VW i have memories with CL11-11-11-28 cloking. will it be ok to buy 2 additional memories with CL11-11-11-29??

i know i am noob, but better to ask, then just trying it wrong :)

the hdd caddy looked ok, but i cannot be sure if it will work. it's better to ask the seller about its tech specs first (you need 12.7mm; sata-to-sata connector). the swapping is easy for a g55.

i am not sure about this (whether or not there are compatibility issues to have a higher timings). there are many options that match the clock speed of stock ram; may i know why you are going for that clock speed instead of the stock one?

thx for replying rewben!

as informations goes on the seller's website, that caddy have SATA to SATA connection and its for 12,7mm. i myself looked
inside the space when i plug out the optical drive and its the same type of connector thats on the second picture of that caddy.

as for the memories - the shop doesnt have CL11-11-11-28 in 2x4GB. either dont have them or that information isnt present.
it just says its CL11 and thats it. and i choose those CL11-11-11-29 because its the almost the same, so i thought it will work ok together.
