I am wondering if someone could please tell me the difference between these two solid state drives. (other than $20.00)

Is one really $20.00 more for 5 more mbps read speed?

Also, if I get this as well, could I run them in RAID?

Thank you for your help with this.

Besides one saying its an Atlas and the other not I'd probably say either one is older or there is some sort of misprint in there.

As far as RAID, I don't believe we have that capability, but I could be wrong.

I've got the 120GB -DX and it's outrageously fast. Honestly, you probably don't need 240GB. I've got probably 30GB of games plus my Win7 install and still have 45GB left. The Atlas is, I believe, one of the fastest SSDs currently available, so you really can't go wrong. And no, I don't think you can run RAID. Not really necessary, really. Just put your OS and any important programs on the SSD, and use the HDD for your data.

Thanks for the info. If you can post on here or message me some tips on what to do once I get it that would be awesome. See, I cloned my other one. I was now advised that when you clone a regular HDD to a SSD, that the alignment or something is not right. That a fresh install is best. If this is true, how can I go about getting a Windows 8 disc? The funny thing about this is, I am more of a hardware guy. So, taking this thing apart and installing it is nothing to me. I am worried about making sure it is properly setup. lol
