Has anyone tried it? What changes does it make compared to 2.3.0.2 ?

I did test, voltage still locked;

Asus 7970 Top

Owh, how about stability issues? The random maximum voltage, monitor settings wont stay there after reset? Custom fan settings wont stay too after restart?

Any Matrix HD7970 Platinum user tried this version? Tell me your experience.

DJ_OXyGeNe_8, if you want to unlock your card's voltage, you may need to follow the hotwire steps... there is a resistor which locks the voltages (not exactly sure which exactly on the HD7970 TOP)

MykaAurora, I don't think that the monitor settings have anything to do with the GPU Tweak... and you can save the settings and reload them when you restart... - this in older versions of the GPU Tweak... not tried yet with the Matrix Plats (will need couple more days for that)

Zka17 , What I've meant by the settings, is the monitor tab won't stay as I like after restart, and it resets the order too.

I see... I've been using two Matrix Plats with the previous version of the GPU Tweak and I didn't observed that thing with the Monitor Tab... - but as I said, I will double check it as soon as I will have those cards back on my TestBench!

Alright, do check about random voltage stuck maximum/minimum, need to restart to solve the problem. Custom fan profile wont stay after restart.

"random voltage stuck"??!! Never saw that... that may depend on the load... - could you describe it in more details?

But, sincerely, I know only two settings... min and max for both the fans and voltages... - as I'm only benching with them... :) And soon, I hope very soon, I won't even care about the fan settings anymore... (switching to watercooling)

Yes, now waiting for my block to arrive. :D

Sometimes, the voltage stuck at maximum 1.4v , and you cant tone it down, need to restart to revert back to your setting.

Sometimes, the voltage stuck at minimum around 0.8v ish, same thing, can't tone it down, I need to restart in order to restore back to my selected voltage.

I would say that something is interfering with GPU Tweak... Do you, by chance, have Ai Suite installed? Or any other tweaking application?

MykaAurora

No wonder after I've removed MSI AB, seems no more voltage stuck. :D LOL.

He-he, there you go! :D

How about the Monitoring Tab? Still the same trouble?

MykaAurora

Yes, monitoring tab just wont stick. Always back to factory settings. I want it to be in Full Widget setting, and the order of monitoring criteria in my way. But it'll reset after restart.

So I've to use different motherboard right? I'm using Asus P8Z68 Deluxe Gen3 - can't use hotwire?

Well, you can use hotwire on that mobo too.... just need some more skills for it... - check this: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2248394

I know, the review is for the GTX680 Top, but I just wanted you to see the variable resistor way...

Sorry I really don't know about it; but on own page

VGA hotwire
Propreitary VGA hotwire allows you to plug and solder wires on the card's voltage regulators and accurately read and control Vcore, Vmem, and PLL voltages from ASUS ROG MBs on a hardware level

on my mobo, where to connect!?

Zka17
03-10-2013, 06:15 PM
Well, what's your mobo?! :)

If you have Rampage IV Extreme or Maximus V Extreme, then you have two sets of connectors for hotwire on them... - if you have other mobo than these, then things are getting more complicated... you will need to use a variable resistor instead of connecting the cards to the mobo...

Mine is Asus p8Z68 Deluxe Gen 3. If I've that cards, would be easy :)

With that mobo you will need to use the variable resistor way... - if you have the skills and tools for it, then go ahead! I haven't done yet in that way... but I would suggest you to read in depth before you start... your warranty will be gone...

2.3.5.0 Definitely fixed the monitor not saving its order settings. But, some it doesn't fix.

2.3.7.3 . Wow, any new benefits? :D Or still the same swarm house of bugs! :D

Arne Saknussemm
05-24-2013, 04:41 PM
Well the fact that it went 2.3.8 and 2.3.9.2 on the same day suggests maybe not :o but to be fair I suppose I had better try it before judging....I'm psyching myself up....
