Hello Asus Fans and Admins!

Im a brand new member of this forum and i currently own a G73JH and im looking to upgrade.

Ok, so im wondering when or if the next product will be released, i dont need anything too specific, 1 year? 2 months? 3 months?
Why? I want the prices for the G74SX when a newer model is available.

I dont need ANY details on your next product, just a very rough time frame or any estimate. I just need to know if G74SX was your final release of the year or i should wait for Asus to release a new product.

Thanks for understanding!

~Mark

PS: I am selling my ASUS G73JH for 1150$ shipped or 1100$ local pickup.

At this time, I don't know of any other models coming out. Both the G5 and G7 line was updated, and the 3DE models are due out next month.

ASUS V9 or ASUS G75xx...

I just wish ASUS has an option to put High End GPU's like the GTX 580m or the ATi 6990 Mobility Radeon

There was a last minute revamp on the model, and was delayed until mid August

Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase this model once it does come out? Can i pre order it somewhere? I cant wait to get my hands on one of these. I was thinking about getting the dell xps 17 3d, because of all the options it allows you but this thing is a much better deal, and the gpu is much better.

I found this model at CDW for 1909.00 but I pre-ordered mine from XoticPC for 1979.00 base price. I added some keyboard light changes and the usb cable for 2 other monitors as well as the laptop monitor for 2147.00 and free shipping. Looks like the 'new' release date is mid aug.

Plus, I got 14 gig of ram instead of the 12 it comes with.

Why not get 16GB so you have all 4GB modules for proper Dual Channel speed?

ASUS Vx7sx...yup VX7 with a GTX 560m GPU...

If you want a updated VX7 here you go...

This pretty much tells me that the ASUS GTX 560m GPU PCB design is close to the G73's Only if I could get a GTX 560m from ASUS and try it out on my G73sw-3DE...hmmm

The 2 gig chip came as an extra for no additional charge from XoticPC. But of course your right. I'll ask about the 4 gig chip when they let me know the unit has arrived.... Can you tell us any more today regarding said arrival? I've done so much research in the last couple months, I'd just like to see it on my desk.
