View Full Version : RIVE Fan header voltage?

I am wondering what voltage all of the on board fan headers are running at? I have two Corsair SP120 fans on two of the OPT fan headers and they are only running at 1700 rpm. They should be running at 2350 rpm. They are 3 pin fans.

you adjust the voltage in bios. opt_fans or chassi_fans

( Fan speed control)

dont exceed a 1 amp load on each header,

Sorry I meant to post this in the build advice section. I looked in the bios and tried putting them on a fan profile of performance mode and the fans rpm went way down. Do you know what to change in the bios to make them run at full speed? They should be set at 12v. I could just hook them up straight to the psu but I wanted to monitor them through the motherboard.

disable the fan speed setting/profile, in bios..

It should now run at 12v..

But not much to monitor, 12v = full rpm.. no more, no less

the chassi fans, can be controlled via fan xpert also, in there you can set the rpm, up to 100%..

The optional fans, are controlled via bios only..except for the Cpu_opt fan..

so if you want to control and to monitor the fans, use the CHA fans headers, you now can manually adjust the fan speed in fanxpert. Note> You cant control the CHA fans, individually, via fanxpert..

just make sure> Q fan is enabled in bios..

long time since i look into this section of bios, and i can be wrong, in some of my directives..
