I was just wondering if I make a system repair disc in windows 7 recovery is that enough to make a copy on ssd? Also when I made a disc there was only one and not 3-4 like I'm used to.

Hi,

It may not matter, but you might want to let us know your notebook model later if anything is unclear.

Make sure you still using the original ASUS Windows image, or let us know if you reinstalled Windows yourself since the ASUS AI Recovery software (not sure how well if works for SSD upgrades if you are trying to do this) which creates 3-4 DVDs may only be available if you kept the original ASUS Windows image.

There are other ways to back up though and it sounds like you may have created a Windows System Repair Disc from the Backup or Restore section in Win7 which doesn't include your Windows image and is pretty much just a boot disk.
I never use it myself or do SSD upgrades, but it appears you can also create a system image under the Win7 Backup or Restore section to use with the Windows System Repair Disc.

If you are trying to upgrade to an SSD drive though, search the ROG forums for more information and check this guide (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?28758-GUIDE-G55-G75-Upgrade-Notes&country=&status=) by rewben.

Willy,

Just noticed in your other thread (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?30720-G75vx&country=&status=) that you appear to have the G75Vx with Win8 instead of the G75Vw with Win7 (and was probably referring to the 'Win7 File Recovery' program in Win8?).
ASUS AI Recovery will not be included with the Win8 units, but you can still check the upgrade guide that was mentioned in my previous reply about upgrading to a SSD drive.
